- Sherpa communities and monasteries may hold Buddhist festivals like Saga Dawa.
Herbst (September bis November)
- Cool, dry, and stable weather with ideal trekking conditions.
- Clear visibility of Mount Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse, Ama Dablam and surrounding peaks.
- Long days of hiking are easier due to the dry trails and warm weather.
- Experience the famous Mani Rimdu Festival at Tengboche Monastery if your trek matches the festival dates.
- Fresh air and clear skies create excellent photography opportunities.
With these things in mind, then, select spring for your getaway if you love the colorful forests, the beautiful weather, and the blooming scenery. If you love the clear mountain sightings, the weather conditions and the overall trekking experience, then autumn is your best choice.
