نمای کلی سفر
صعود به قله پیسانگ is one of the most adventurous trekking peaks in Nepal’s Annapurna region. The first ascent of Pisang Peak was made by a German expedition team in 1955. The Pisang peak lies in the Manang district, and it is very beautiful.
This Pisang Peak Climbing starts at Besi Sahar and follows the پیاده روی Circuit Annapurna trail till Pisang. Pisang Peak (6,091m/19,983ft) rises above Pisang village in a uniform slope of ice and snow up to the summit. From the village, your route ascends through lush woods and pastures until you reach a high camp. From Pisang High Camp, you’ll climb on the southwest ridge that leads to the final snow slope up to the summit. On your way back, the route heads down to Manang Valley, Thorung Phedi, and Jomsom.
Pisang’s summit offers you an unbeaten panoramic view of Annapurna peaks such as Annapurna II (7,937m/26,040ft), Annapurna III (7,555m/24,786ft), and Annapurna IV (7,525m/24,688ft). You’ll also see Gangapurna (7,455m/24,458ft), Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri (8,167m/26,794ft), Tilicho Peak (7.134m/23,405ft), and Manaslu (8,156m/26,758ft).
Customized itineraries with tailored travel and accommodation plans are also available upon request. Enjoy the peak climbing in Nepal with our expert climbing guides.
We also offer Pisang Peak Climbing as a climbing training program, led by our experienced climbing guide. Just to be sure that you climb the peak safely and return successfully.

Pisang Peak Climbing Additional Information
Pisang Peak Climbing Cost
The 21-day Pisang Peak trek costs USD 2050. Since this is a month-long mountain climb in a very remote landscape, the cost of the Pisang peak climb is high. Thankfully, Pisang Nepal is just a practice peak with an actual climbing time of 2 days. Thus, the Pisang Peak trek cost is lower than that of other mountain climbing peaks like Everest Base Camp and Annapurna.
The $2050 includes the cost of the permit, accommodation, food, and guide/porter, i.e., everything you need during the climb. Even then, you will need about 500 dollars extra for personal expenses.
Pisang Peak permit

When you land in Nepal, you first need to obtain a visa to Nepal. These visas can be given at the international airport for around $50. Indians traveling to Nepal don’t require a travel Visa, and the visa fee is accessible to people from SAARC countries. You will need three other permits for Pisang Peak climbing, along with a visa.
مجوز منطقه حفاظتشده آناپورنا
Pisang Peak is conserved within the Annapurna Conservation Area, Nepal’s largest conservation area. This permit can be issued in Kathmandu or at different entry points during your trek, for $30.
کارت TIMS
This is also issued from Kathmandu for $20. This card helps to keep a record of tourists in Nepal and is compulsory for all treks in the Annapurna region.
Pisang Peak Climbing Permit
Climbing Pisang Peak can only be done when you book your climb with a local travel agency and hire a licensed guide. This Pisang climbing permit costs $150 in Spring ( March to May), $125 in Autumn (September to November), and $70 in other months. You must submit a valid password, Pisang Peak Itinerary, and insurance details to get this Pisang Peak Climbing permit.
Accommodation in Pisang Peak Climbing
In the early days of the Pisang Peak climbing Itinerary, we followed the same route as the Annapurna Circuit trek, a famous tea house trek in Nepal. This means, up to Chame, i.e., the 7th day of the Pisang Trek, you will be staying in comfortable rooms in a small guest house managed by a local Tamang person.
Then you reach the upper region of Pisang, which is quite remote, with almost no human settlement. We stay in a camp from the 8th to the 13th day, i.e., from Pisang Base Camp to the summit. From the 14th day, when we join the trail to Manang, we shall again stay in the tea houses. The accommodation is pretty reasonable from Jomsom to Kathmandu, i.e., at the end of the track.
While we are staying at the tea house or hotels, you can choose any food you prefer from the menu provided to us. During the camp, the team prepares warm food using the materials you have brought. Since you will be traveling with a very experienced guide and porters of MyEverestTrip, there is no need to worry about food and accommodation. For water, you need to carry sterilizing tablets or bottles.
Pisang Peak difficulty
This won’t be easy if you are a newbie trekker with zero experience in high-altitude treks. Mountain climbing is never easy and demands high expertise and alertness. That being said, this is among the lowest altitude mountains that have to be climbed. So, if you are thinking about enhancing your mountain climbing skill and conquering higher mountains in the future, Pisang Peak can be a good starting point. Along with Pisang Peak, Thorang La at 5416 M is a significant challenge during this trek.
The path of Pisang Base Camp is relatively easy and has been used by millions of trekkers. The trail is steep from Pisang Peak Base camp to the high command with many tricky points. The Rocks and snow make this particular section of the trek very difficult. However, the most challenging path is from the Pisang Peak high camp to the Pisang Peak summit, where the guide sets the rope, and you must walk on the steep surface.
It will take about 10 hours to reach the Pisang Summit and return to the base camp on the same day. Climbing from Manang to Yak Kharkha and crossing Thorang La is also problematic, but by then, you will already have the experience of Mountain climb, which make it easier to cross the path. This is also the route for Annapurna Circuit Trek.
The highest risk factor during this Pisang Peak Nepal trek is its long-distance and very high altitude. At 6091M, air pressure is skinny, and you might need oxygen. The guide will provide you with oxygen in case of any symptoms of altitude sickness, but the cylinders are limited. Even then, if you develop headaches, vomiting, and shortness of breath, you might have to stop the climb and get back to the lower altitude. Helicopter evacuation will be arranged in case of emergency.
Pisang Peak Climbing FAQs
Where is Pisang Peak Nepal located?
Pisang Peak is located in the central north of Nepal, close to the famous Annapurna range. Situated further north of Manang, it lies between Annapurna I and پیست پیست ماناسلو. More than half of the route used for Pisang Peak is part of the Annapurna circuit trek itself.
What is the best season for the Pisang Peak expedition?
Without argument, spring, i.e. March to May, is the best time for mountain climbing in Nepal. Since all mountaineers around the World gather to conquer high-altitude mountains in Nepal, this is the busiest season on the hill. Autumn, i.e. September to November, can also be a good time with no chances of rainfall and snowfall. The weather in Autumn is relatively calm, but there might be more snow on the route. Due to regular snowfall and rain, trekking in monsoon and winter can be deadly. It’s not suggested.
Do you need any training for Pisang Peak to climb?
You will need technical climbing skills for the Pisang Peak expedition. However, you don’t need to learn these Mountaineering skills in advance from your home country. There are only a few technical sections in this climb, and you can know them once you are in Nepal. The guys of MyEverestTrip thoroughly train you to use all the Mountaineering gear and other required skills in Kathmandu even after you start the trek. So, even if you have never attempted to climb a mountain, you can fly to Kathmandu and start your journey.
اگر هوا بد باشد چه اتفاقی خواهد افتاد؟
UpWe will stay in tea houses until the 7th day of the trip, so the bad weather doesn’t have much impact. However, to climb the Pisang peak, we must trek only in stable weather. If the weather becomes unpredictable, i.e., rainfall and snowfall, we might stay in base camp until the weather clears up. We take up to 2 days for the weather to clear up and ascent only when the safety of our climbers is ensured. The Porter of MyEverestTrip will carry enough food to feed us during the rest days.
