Today after having breakfast we will commence our trekking days in the Himalayas to the western belt of Nepal via our private Bus/Jeep/Car or also on Public vehicles as per your preference. While driving you will explore the hills with the best panoramic views and the people rafting on the Trishuli River.

Although the road is rough and busty with narrow roads to reach Soti Khola. You will see the beautiful forest and the water streams along the way. As we will stop in the small settlement of Soti Khola for our overnight stay. while you may also explore the small town around you.

We were waking up in the Himalayas to beautiful scenery and a kind welcome from the locals. After eating breakfast, we will start the traditional Manaslu hike.

We will arrive at the Gurung village after traveling through a thick forest, where you are welcome to explore and take in the customs and way of life of the locals.

We will arrive at the Doban after crossing the suspension bridge over the Budhi Gandaki River. From there, we will climb steeply for three hours while following the routes through the Gurung hamlet.

We reach the settlement of Jagat by following the Yaru River and crossing a wooden bridge. Here, we must present all of our special licenses in order to access the Manaslu region’s restricted area. We will spend the night at the Tea House in Jagat.

Today, we will enter the restricted area of the Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek as ascending from the Salleri. Along with you will hike beside the Budhi Gandaki River and cross the Budhi Gandaki River through the suspension bridge. As we keep hiking forward, we reach the Philim village. After we cross Ekal Bhatii we get a two way one heading to Tsum and another to the Manaslu circuit Trek.

As we commence our trek, today the trail will be welcomes with the carved stone- Mani and the different color of the Tibetan flag anlong the trail. You will be passin via the many monasteries and the small settlement along the trail. The trail takes you through the Sho village which is also known for the best views of the Manaslu Massif.

While ascending a couple of hours passing through the dense forest we will reach the Shyala village. Which offers the best views of mountains such as Manaslu, Phungi, and the Himals chuli Mountains. The Village mainly grows the Potaoes and Brely along with animal husbandry and tourism as their main occupation.

As you hike up, you will witness the Ganesh Himal along the east and the Manaslu on the south. With the great mountain view, if you look down you will see two rows of houses that form the Sama Gaun. As we reach Sama Gaun we will explore and stay for an overnight stay in a Hotel.

For proper acclimatization in the high mountains, we will spend a day in Sama Gaun. While the Sama Gaun is nearer to the Manaslu Base Camp. The Sama Gaun village is full of stone-carved mani with mantras and sculptures of the Buddhist religion.

As it is the rest day, you may take an optional hike to the surroundings and also hike to Birendra lake or Pungyen Gomba. Also, you may hike to Manaslu Base Camp which in total requires 8 hours to complete. While all the hike gives you the best mountain views.

Today, early in the morning we leave the Sama Gaun and head towards the Samdo village. Our trail takes us through the beautiful terraced fields along with the beautifully carved mani with the Buddhist sculpture and the beautiful different colors of the Tibetan flag on the trail.

As we cross the wooden bridge of the Budhi Gandaki, we will reach the beautiful Samdo Valley. Along the trail, you will witness the Larkya Glacier and trek around the Salka Khola Valley.  We ascend uphill and we reach our destination Dharmsala which is also known as Larkya La Phedi. You will have a good view of the Manaslu massif and we will stay overnight and gain more energy and prepare for the great day tomorrow to cross the Larkya la Pass.

The longest and also known as the toughest day of the Manaslu Tsum Valley trek today. Early in the morning we will leave behind the Dharmasala and head towards the Larke La pass which is at an elevation of 5,160 m. The pass should be crossed before the winds start to blow and before the sun’s rays melt the snow in the high mountains. The trekking trail climbs uphill and passes via the grassland of the sloppy hills. As you reach the Larke La pass, you will witness a number of Tibetan colorful flags with Buddhist mantras and sculptures.

The Larke La Pass offers you beautiful mountain ranges such as Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kanguru, Minjung, and the Annapurna II. The beautiful views of the mountains will take your heart for a while and our descent begins downhill towards the Bhimtang village. During your downhill, you need the trekking pole very well to get down, and make sure you descend down with safety gear and advice from your guide. As you reach the Bhimtang you will witness many mani and tea houses for the overnight stay.

During the Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek, you will be accommodated in the Tea House/ Guest House along the Trail in the mountains. The Tea House is primarily constructed of wood, featuring a cozy bedroom with shared bathrooms. Permits For Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek

The Immigration Department of Nepal issues the Restricted Area Permit. The RAP is readily available from the Department of Immigration’s office.

Annapurna Conservation Area Permits(ACAP)

Trekkers who intend to undertake the Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek must get an Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP). The Nepal Tourism Board office in Kathmandu is the direct source for issuing the ACAP permit.

Manaslu Conservation Area Permits(MCAP)

Entry into the Manaslu Conservation Area requires a Manaslu Conservation Area permit for foreigners and all SAARC nationals. Permits can be obtained from the Nepal Tourism Board’s Kathmandu office.

Trekkers Information Management System(TIMS CARD)

The TIMS cards are required for all hikers who intend to trek in Nepal. The TIMS card keeps a record of all trekkers and their details for the safety of trekkers within Nepal. You can get the TIMS card from the NTB and also from the TAAN office in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Trekking gears for Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek

Backpack(BAGS): Pack a high-quality comfortable backpack that can hold at least 35 to 45 liters of gear and supplies that are essential for you during the trek in the mountains.
