Feminine Hygiene Products:

Female trekkers need to carry an adequate supply of feminine hygiene products. They can be rare, and there are limited stocks in remote trekking areas. While the prices are also high, planning and bringing fine hygiene products from Kathmandu is smart. You can also buy these products in Namche Bazaar. Also, plan for the necessary products that last long during the trekking.

Menstrual Hygiene:

In addition to carrying menstrual hygiene products, female trekkers might consider additional measures for menstrual hygiene, such as disposal bags for used items and a way to manage waste in an environmentally responsible manner.

Personal Comfort and Grooming:

They might need hair ties, headbands, or hair accessories to manage their hair during the windy conditions and hiking. They should also prioritize using moisturizers and lip balms to prevent skin drying at higher altitudes.   • First Aid Kit or Medicine: The first aid kit is also taken by your guide, oximeter, and diamox. If you have any health disease, you can carry your medicine.

Day Bag Packing List and Duffel Bag For Everest

Trekkers should be careful that they can only get 15kg per person on a flight during their Everest flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Additional weight can be added upon extra money. Be mindful about what to carry on your primary day bag and duffel bag.

You should carry 12 -15 kg, including both bags. (duffle and day bag). The porter will carry 20 kg (10 kg per person). The rest of the 2 kilograms go inside your day pack bag.

You should carry the chocolate and energy bars, medicine, one extra t-shirt, water bottle, power bank, sunglasses, scarves, and other necessary items in your day pack bag, and the rest of the unused stuff can go on your duffel bag carried by the porter.

The trek guide will follow you, but the porter will stay forward and try to catch their speed to find the stuff in your duffel bag. So you will see the porter only at the guest house most of the time. Pack the load accordingly.
